Laser Tattoo Removal
Every client is likely to react to their laser tattoo removal differently, but you’ll experience less discomfort or side effects if you follow proper aftercare instructions provided by your technician. To ensure optimal removal results.
To minimize any swelling or bruising, apply a clean, cold compress to the area many times, intermittently throughout the first and/or second days after the procedure.
Apply SAVLON Burns cream a few times in the few hours after the procedure to help the skin calm down quicker (please check ingredients to make sure you’re not allergic)
The skin should be treated gently for 3-4 days after treatment, avoid excessive rubbing or any trauma to the area to allow the skin to recover and to prevent infection.
Visually inspect the area in the days after the treatment and identify any wounds or blisters. If there is no visible skin trauma, make up can be used but only IF skin was not broken.
IF you have any blisters, avoid ‘popping’ them, keep them clean and dry until they scab and as soon as they create a scab keep them coated with an antiseptic or tattoo aftercare ointment and dressings. With little interference, they will heal on their own.
Although adverse reactions are unusual the following symptoms may be experienced occasionally and are only temporary:
Redness, Swelling, Excess Heat, Itchiness
Immediately after the procedure you may see ‘frosting’ which makes the tattoo appear very light. That frosting effect will disappear after a few hours and the colour will look intense again. The tattoo pigment will begin to fade about two to three weeks after the treatment.
Sunscreen should be used on exposed areas after treatment (even if it is not a sunny day). Also avoid sunbeds and self-tanning lotions for the treatment period.
Avoid any heat treatments i.e. sauna, steam etc. and avoid exercise (as this heats up the body) for 48 hours after the treatment.

Hyperpigmentation: The skin may appear slightly darker than the surrounding skin. Typically, this resolves over time.

Cover-Up Tattoo: If you plan to get a cover-up tattoo on the removal site, wait at least 8 weeks until the dermis is completely healed before having the procedure.
